Derbyshire to West Lindsey

This weekend started off with a buzz down to the potterylands of southern Derbyshire.
Setting off at 5 and battling the buses of the playoff traffic, we were into this historic Cornishware pottery works before breakfast.

It was hot.

Next was onto West Linsdey and Great Grimsby, with a list of leads to follow we encountered in no particular order: A Police helicopter, a dead mole, a massive pile of rubble, an eccles cake and a tropical solero, no joy with entering any of these places on said list.

Having visited St. John's asylum for the insane a couple of Christmases ago, it was decided that it would make an adequate backup to the failures encountered earlier that day (and a lovely place to play hide and seek with Polskisecuriti on a warm afternoon)

Lovely ceilings no?

Apparently they were to baffle the noises made by inmates, whilst still allowing for light airy spaces. Nice.
