The second exploration of 2015 and part of a fairly large Victorian Hospital site, here are some photographs from the nicely intact Mortuary building there.
This is the second time I've visited this building, the first on the same day as this other North Eastern mortuary building in an attempt to make it a 'two morgue weekend' but alas this one was firmly secured at that point.
This Hospital was built in the 1850’s and has been vacated since 2010 / 2011 with plans to demolish most of the 1950’s additions to the Victorian parts. There is a scheme with planning in place to convert / construct new accommodation housing up to 440 students.
We didn't get a chance to see inside the hospital buildings due to fading light but were happy to finally settle for the Mortuary (and to have some chips & scraps)
